Note
The petition is dated to 1302 as the petition refers to the writ de certiorari a copy of which now survives as SC 8/271/13538, and this is dated in its dating clause to 21 July 1301, and the response reveals that it was not received in the Dublin Exchequer until 28 January 1302. The petition was probably presented at the Summer parliament of 1302 (PROME, 1302, summer parliament, appendix, petitions belonging to this parliament and not otherwise recorded, no.6c).
