The return of writ is dated to 1302 as it is dated with the petition to which it was formerly appended, and as it is the return to a writ dated 21 July 1301, but which was not received in the Dublin Exchequer until 28 January 1302, its own creation must date to 1302 (SC 8/271/13538 & 40).
