Brook requests that sufficient letters patent of commission are granted to the sheriff of York and Harrington to make . . . goods, chattels, lands and tenements so that the petitioner can be paid the sum agreed between the king and Juningen for the damages done to Durdewant, and that the commissioners have the power to send any who attempt to bar the commissioners by alienation of these goods and lands before the king. The subjects of Scarborough have attempted to defraud the king by making alienations to prevent the payment of the agreed sum.
