The petition is dated to 1319-1335 as it unclear whether this petition belongs to the Scottish wars of Edward II or Edward III. John de Cusack clearly served in Ireland against Edward Bruce and was rewarded in June 1319 for his service, but Peter Cusack seems likely to have served Edward III in Scotland in 1335 (CPR 1317-21, p.343; Rot. Scot., vol. I, p.344a)
