[The original is damaged with parts of the right-hand side being heavily stained or missing].The petitioners complain of the death of Remaut deu Verger, master of the ship 'St Mary' of Bayonne and his companions, during a robbery at sea committed by the Genoese, who have refused to provide compensation for this robbery; and ask the King to do what seems right to him, to compensate their fellow burgesses.
