Nature of request
The countess requests that the king grant that the abbot and convent and their successors retain their fisheries between Wroxham and Weybridge bridges, saving to the countess and those who succeed her certain fisheries, and to those wishing passage along the river, free passage. The Confessor granted the manor of Horning to the abbot and convent with the fishery.
Nature of endorsement
Let a commission be made at the request of the countess of Norfolk to Curzon and Clere to enquire of the fishery and the bounds of the abbot's severalty.
