The petitioners state that the King's father grante Grimoard de Chassens, for his good service, the bailiwick of Ste Foy in the Agenais at pleasure, for a suitable price, and that the King's father had granted several letters patent to Helias and Grimoard, to satisfy them for the debts he owed them out of the issues of this bailiwick; but that he then took the bailiwick into his hand, so that they are not satisfied for the debts owed to them. They ask that the King might inform himself on this, and satisfy their debts from the issues of the bailiwick, or from the issues of the commune of . . .
Nature of endorsement
[Partly missing due to repair of ms] Let the petition be sent to the seneschal of Gascony, and let him be ordered to call those who are to be called and do right, specially [calling] the royal [proctor] and the treasurer of the Agenais.
