Nature of request
Eastfield requests that Grandison make satisfaction for the damages done to the people of Guernsey for he brought Fressingfield to the Isle without the king's command and great extortions were committed against the custom of the Isle and the people there. Eastfield complained to the parliament of York and justices were assigned to the Isle and found Grandison forfeit.
Nature of endorsement
Let the justices enquire inquire of the contents of the petition concerning the customs of the Isle, and let the king be certified and justice be done. Concerning the other complaints let the justices view the processes and do justice.
