[This petition is somewhat faded] Petition in two parts:1) Rehearsing the breakdown of the peace treaty made at Montreuil in 1306, because of impediments and obstructions on the French side, and subsequent injuries inflicted on the English by the French, which seem likely to lead to more serious things if the Pope does not help, and asking for bulls to be issued concerning the keeping of the peace between England and France.2) Asking him to renew the oath to obey the terms of the inquisition into what should become of the lands of Alfonso, Count of Poitou in Cahors, and the commissioners to be nominated by the King of England for this, in the absence of commissioners from the King of France, and to compel obedience to it if necessary.
