Nature of request
Remundi states that his brother has been forced into exile for fear of a decree of the seneschal of Gascony that laymen who meddled in ecclesiastical discords in the town of Dax would incur forfeiture of their bodies and goods, because he visited the place where the mayor had died trying to separate two feuding clerics, and asks the addressee to intercede with the King so that he may be able to return, as an inquisition by the Prevot of Dax did not accuse him of anything, and he is prepared to stand to right according to the laws and customs of the country.
