Nature of request
Letter of the archbishop of Canterbury to the king stating that in their last convocation at St Paul's in London, between 23 April and 18 July, the clergy of his province granted the King half a tenth, listing exemptions and provisos to this grant, and asking that it might please the king and council to give some notable part of this sum to Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester, in support of his charges and burdens.
