Nature of request
Burgh requests that he can be returned to the Marshalsea to receive and have for each action what the common law will grant as the Bishop of Exeter has caused him to be put in the castle of York where he has no recourse to law.
Nature of endorsement
Because the bishop notified the council that the petitioner was delivered by Weston to the sheriff of York by indenture, by order of the king saving the keeping, and therefore coram rege.
