Berton requests remedy [and a] pardon for he has been indicted by his neighbours of homicide, arson and theft, and he is totally ruined and has nothing for him or his wife and children to live on.1)
Nature of endorsement
Coram rege.2) Concerning the pardon of the felonies the king ought not to do this, but concerning the outlawry, let this petition be delivered to Bury that he show the king, and say his will so that if the outlawry be pardoned, that he surrender and stand to the law.
