The abbot and convent request that the king will aid them by granting that they are able to receive certain gifts of land and rent to the value of £20 in allowance of the losses that they have incurred with the burning of their houses and crops, confirm another grant a confirmation of a gift of land, and take their granges held of the king into his protection.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be done for a fine of 40 marks and for the release contained in the little schedule.
