The abbess and convent request that satisfaction be made to them for their money taken by the king's father from the treasury of Exeter in the form of money, wardships, marriages or churches that they may appropriate.1)
Nature of endorsement
It seems to the council that if this is so then it would be alms to give them some aid for the damages they have suffered, if it pleases the king.2) Coram rege.

The petition is dated to 1311 as the abbess and convent were granted lands and rents from those that first fall into the king's hand in satisfaction of the sum on 20 March 1311 (CPR 1307-13, p.361).
