Nature of request
Letter to Edward III from John, Archbishop of Canterbury, stating that although after a long suit against William de Kynardeseye, Roger de Aston has been restored to the possession of the church of Tonge, from which he had been expelled, this church is occupied by lay force which is preventing the Archbishop from exercising his spiritual office there. He asks the King to order that this lay force be removed.
