Brotherton requests that he be pardoned the amercements that the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer wish to levy from him for his lordship of Co. Carlow as it has been destroyed by the Irish and false English, and his stewards cannot do their office.
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer of Ireland that they inform themselves of the things contained in the petition and they make certification of what they find.
