- The petition is dated to 1333-1336 in accordance with the suggested dating of Constance Fraser, as the petition refers to the siege of Berwick and Scottish raids in the aftermath of the English recapture of the town (Northumberland Petitions, pp.201-2 (no.180)). 'Colmesynche' may be the island monastery of Inchcolm.
