Commons of the liberty of St Edmund.

Nature of request
The commons ask that the statute made in the King's fourteenth year that stipulates that bailiwicks or hundreds held in fee if they be let at farm be let at the ancient farm without increase be recited, and that a certain penalty be ordained against those who trespass against it, as hundreds in the liberty have been let for twice or three times the ancient farm, and other outrageous contraventions of this statute committed, causing great oppressions on the people.
Nature of endorsement
Let writs be made to the lords of the liberty and elsewhere to keep the statute both at the suit of the king and of any other party who feels aggrieved; and let attachments be made if anyone acts contrary to this.
