Nature of request
Aton requests remedy as he was bound to Badlesmere in 50 marks by recognizance and paid the same for which he received an acquittance which was burnt amongst others of his goods by the Scots at his manor of Malton. The sum is on demand against him because of Badlesmere's forfeiture and he is prepared to prove the payment and the burning of the acquittance.1)
Nature of endorsement
Let it be ordered to the treasurer and barons that they hear his complaint, and call to them the justices of the Bench and others of the council, and do what is ordained by the council.2) Coram rege.
