A petition making suggestions for advice to be given to a messenger to be sent to the King of France, to give reasons and make clarifications concerning the three petitions lately made to the King of France by the messengers of the King of England concerning pardons and release of penalties for excesses and disobediences made by the king, his ministers and subjects and the repeal of all condemnations resulting from them.The petition suggests that the messenger sent to give reasons and make clarifications concerning the three petitions lately made to the King of France by the messengers of the King of England should be advised before he leaves concerning the letters . . . that the court of France cannot be roused or have substance to give an arrest upon certain acts proposed by the messenger or shown in commissions assigned to enquire and judge upon the acts whereby the king, his ministers and his subjects are able to be damaged as in similar cases in your father's third year wherein all excesses and disobediences were . . .
