Nature of request
Chisenhale requests that his church of Barton should be discharged of the debts owed by his predecessor to the king for which the fruits were taken into the king's hand because the parsonage with all the fruits was burned by the Scots.1)
Nature of endorsement
The council is advised that for the account of Hustweyt, the church ought not to be charged for after his time.2) Concerning the tenth the king will give his grace.3) Coram rege.

Note
The petition is dated to c. 1324 on the basis of references to Hustweyt as parson in 1321, and to the petitioner as parson by 1324 (CCR 1318-23, p.470; CCR 1323-7, p.164. It seems unlikely that the petitioner would have waited long after his presentation to the vacant church of Barton to make this complaint.
