Spersholte requests a suitable remedy so that clerks are only received if they by common and notorious malefactors and disturbers of the king's peace and that of the University, as the chancellor of the university has caused many clerks to be delivered to him for imprisonment at great cost to him in the prison of Oxford within the castle.
