Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated to c. 1315-c. 1340 on the basis of the hand. It is possible that this petition can be more precisely dated should the statute referred to be identified, but the two statutes of this period referring to debts date to 11 and 13 Edw. I and neither of these seem to make any reference to anything remotely similar to the petitioner's claim (Statutes of the Realm, Vol. I, pp.53, 98-100).
