Note
Dated on the guard to c. 1299, with reference to CPR 1292-1301, p. 433, a 1299 oyer and terminer to the prior of Wenlock and others concerning lands in the Channel Islands. The reference to the Prior of Wenlock suggests that the petition probably relates to the Channel Islands eyre of 1299-1300 (see Crook, Records of the General Eyre, pp.191-2).
