Nature of request
Berkeleye, who is not related to the great Berkleys, requests that whereas he returned to the King at Gloucester in the manner stated above [see SC 8/265/13238], and took the oath and found pledges as did Butler, and had a writ to have back his lands, and followed the King on two campaigns in his wars at his own cost, that he be granted grace of the 100 with which Staunton has charged him in Gloucestershire.
