Nature of request
Seint Qwyntine requests remedy since he had in his keeping Amand, son and heir of John de Routh, who was underage when his father died and has lands in Holderness held of the manor of Burstwick, and who by order of the King's letters the petitioner delivered to the King at Stamford, and now Constable, claiming Amand's wardship, has sued a writ of wardship against the petitioner, even though it is the King, and not he, who has the keeping of the heir.1)
