Nature of request
The chancellor, masters and clerks of Cambridge University request remedy because the hostels of scholars, which previously were taxed by two masters and two burgesses of the town by the King's charter, have been fraudulently leased by the burgess of the town to lay people for nine or ten years, to maliciously unhouse the scholars contrary to the charter of the university.1)
Nature of endorsement
it should be done according to the custom [Cancelled].2) It should be ordered by writ of Chancery that it should be done according to the form of the charter and according to the custom of the university.
