- [Part of this petition is now missing.]The burgesses of Liverpool request remedy and that they can have another grant of the tolls of Liverpool of which they were seised in aid of their farm by charters of John and Henry III [until the time of the earl of] Lancaster, who was lord of the town, who ousted them [from their tolls by his will and] mastery without reason.
