Nature of request
The community of Bassetlaw and Strafforth request that whereas Aune has levied over 2000 marks from them by various prises, oppressions and grievances and also in accusing many innocent people of being at the siege of the castle, by which he has seized various fines from the people, that Aune be temporarily removed from his bailiwick while good justices enquire into these grievances.1)

The council is advised that this should be done if it pleases the King.2) Coram Rege.3) For the King.4) For the community of the wapentakes of Bassetlaw and Strafforth.
