Nature of request
Bayouse, who has been sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire since Easter in the twenty-ninth year of the King's reign [1301], requests remedy since at each account that he has rendered to the Exchequer he has been overcharged £30 yearly which ought to have been allowed to him for the fees of the honour of Richmond which the Count of Brittany holds of the King's grant, which £30 his predecessors used to receive in their farm and which the King now receives, and that he be allowed the said £30 yearly.
Nature of endorsement
A writ of Chancery should be made to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that, if they find it within the farm of the county, the sheriff is to be exonerated.
