Note (Additional information about the record)
- Dated to c. 1318, with reference to SC 8/62/3053, a similar petition from the same petitioner which was dated 1318 on the guard (Docs. Illus. English History, p. 44). Since this was a time of heightened Scottish raiding across the English border the date is highly plausible.
