[This petition is badly faded, and parts are extremely difficult to reconstruct.]Wilinton, Bischop and Filton, farmers of the manors of Temerton and Luttleton, in the hands of the king due to the forfeiture of John de Wilinton, request remedy against Croiser and Bernard, who have seized their manors and goods to the value of 40 marks. They have held these manors, together with [...], Ablington and tenements in Westonbirt for three years.1)
Nature of endorsement
Order le Croiser and Bernard, who have seized the tenements contained within, to certify the manner and amount taken. And afterwards, the aforesaid Simon came and said that they seized the aforesaid tenements by order of the king, and, so the petition should be put before the King.2) Before the King.3) [Further endorsement illegible.]
