Nature of request
The liege community of Ross requests that the justices of the King's Bench be ordered to proceed with the case between the towns of Ross and Waterford concerning the landing of ships' cargoes and to provide them with a remedy in consideration of their poverty and the actions of the Irish enemies.
Nature of endorsement
A writ should be sent to the justices of the King's Bench to pass a verdict on the plea and to do justice.

Note
Dated by Connolly to 1378, with reference to CCR 1377-81, p.53, an order to publish and proclaim the King's letters stating that all merchants could come and load, unload and sell at New Ross as well as at Waterford and CPR 1377-81, p. 161, an exemplification of letters patent and the suit between Waterford and New Ross confirming the King's mandate permitting merchants and others to come to Ross and trade.
