The prior and convent of Leeds request remedy because although they have the advowsons of the chapels of Bockingfold and Newstead, as appears in the rolls of the Exchequer, Canvill, who holds the manor of Bockingfold of the King for life, purchased the advowson from the King on 10 December this year.
Nature of endorsement
[On face] Returned to the archbishop of Canterbury.[On dorse] Since process of the plea and judgment were returned in the Exchequer, he should come before the King and council and be examined, and justice should be done.
