- The people of Westminster request that whereas they have no lands or tenements except their houses and rents in Westminster, in which each is held by ancient custom to shelter the King's men who occupy their chambers, kitchens, stables and other houses of the King's household and who agist their tenants out of their rents so that they cannot support themselves or their houses, lodge the King's men or make money from their taverns for the Bench and the Exchequer, that they be granted remedy according to the ordinances made in the reign of the King's father and Chavent, his steward.
