Nature of request
Tochet requests that whereas he and his ancestors held the manor of Leegomery of the Honour of Montgomery and the manor of Heswall in Cheshire, which honour and county the King has given to the Prince, and Tochet is distrained by writ of the Exchequer for his relief from the same tenements because he did homage for them to the King before the grant to the Prince, that he be granted a writ to the treasurer and barons of the Exchequer that if they learn by inquisition or otherwise that the tenements are held of the petitioner, that he be discharged and quit towards the King of the relief, notwithstanding that he has done his homage to the King ignorantly.
