- The saddlers of London request that for their good government the King grant that they may have a commonalty of themselves, and that they may yearly elect four wardens from the same for its rule and governance and the corrections of defaults therein, and may acquire in mortmain lands, tenements and rents in London and without, to the yearly value of £20, in aid of the support of the infirm aged poor of their craft and of one chaplain.
