Nature of request
Le Brabauzon, who holds the manor of East Bridgford with the advowson of its church as the right of his wife, requests remedy because during the reign of the late King after the death of Clarel, the last parson of East Bridgford, who was presented by his wife, the lady of the manor, he presented to the church one of his clerks who was received and instituted by the Archbishop of York, but the sheriff of Nottinghamshire removed his presentment and put Salutz in his place.1)
Nature of endorsement
The sheriff of Nottinghamshire should inform Salutz to be before the King at Westminster on the third week after Trinity to show if he knows any reason why the advowson of East Bridgford should not be restored to le Brabauzon in accordance with his petition.2) Before the whole council with an inquisition.3) Before the King and the great council.
