John de Bauns complains about non-payment of a debt which Thomas de la Hide, sheriff and steward of Cornwall, was ordered to pay him and his companions from the issues of his county. They have long sued for payment, but nothing has been done and they are greatly impoverished. They request payment.

Apparently from the beginning of the reign of Edward II, with reference to the late King and to CCR 1302-7 p.509, which is dated 20 June 1307. From the content of the petition, it would seem likely to date from before Michaelmas 1308.
