William de Berenges states that he was granted the bailiwick of Salet by the Constable of Bordeaux for a certain sum of money, but was then wrongly expelled from it by the King's officials. He asks that he might have it for a year so that he does not lose by the King's service; and that he might recover his money.
Nature of endorsement
The Seneschal and Constable of Bordeaux are to be ordered to inquire, and to inform the King; and he will further do what seems to him is to be done.
