Nature of request
Walter de Acre states that Alard le Burser, burgess of Aumale, has not paid him for goods bought from him, although the term for payment has passed, but has left the country so that Walter cannot have satisfaction. He requests a letter to the Mayor and Bailiffs of King's Lynn to hear his complaint and to arrest the goods of people from Aumale coming to King's Lynn, according to the custom of the law merchant of King's Lynn, until satisfaction has been given to Walter by Alard.
Nature of endorsement
The community of King's Lynn is to order the community of Aumale to do swift justice to the complainant; if they do not, the response is to be brought before the council, and the King will provide a remedy.
