Nature of request
Richard Philip states that, although he was born and bred in the island of Jersey, Philip de Bartone, who was appointed by Thomas de Feryrs to levy the goods of aliens has imprisoned him as if he were born in Normandy to force him to give him half the goods of his priory, even though he offered to pay him what he renders to his abbot and even though his mill and men have been burnt and destroyed by the King's enemies. He requests a remedy.

The said Philip is to be ordered that, if the petition contains the truth, he is to receive from the Prior what he renders annually to his abbot, without demanding more from him.
