Arnold de Brocas, proctor of Bernard John de Rue Maior, Bernard de la Fiague, Peregrine Darion, Arnold Doloron, Raymond Arnold de Mar, William John de Bonyort, Bernard des Casses, Bernard de Saut, Bidau Brane, Arnold du Soler and Peter de Maslak, citizens of Bayonne, states that certain Genoese robbed a ship loaded with their merchandise at sea, so that the late King and the present King have both written to the Podesta and community of Genoa to give these citizens redress and damages; but they have done nothing. Arnold asks the King to provide such a remedy as reason demands, so that the citizens he represents can recover their losses, and their expenses in the suit, and that compensation might be provided for the ship and its tackle, as well as for the deaths of eleven men killed on board, whose names he lists.
