Maurice Fitz Thomas, Earl of Kildare states that the liberty of Kildare was wrongly taken into the King's hand by Ralph Dufford, formerly Justice of Ireland, as can be seen from the case returned in Chancery in England. He asks that the case may be examined, and, if the Justice's reasons are not found to be sufficient, that the liberty might be returned to him.
