Nature of request
The Abbess of Burnham states that she holds the manor of Burnham of the King in pure and perpetual alms, paying a certain sum towards the guard of Windsor castle for all services, but that although she had paid this, Ralph de Camoys, formerly Constable of Windsor Castle, distrained her in 17 Edward II until she had found three and a half armed men for the guard of the castle for six weeks; and he did the same in 20 Edward II. She requests a remedy.
