Nature of request
John Toscanan of Bordeaux states that he was in the King's service in his war with certain men-at-arms, and that his wages, for which he has sealed letters from the Constable of Bordeaux, are in arrears. He requests payment or an assignment where he can be paid speedily, so that he can continue in the King's service, as otherwise he has nothing to live on.
