Nature of request
John de Rithre, formerly Constable of Skipton castle, asks that Roger de Waltham, formerly Keeper of the Wardrobe, might be ordered to account with him for the wages of men at arms and hobblers retained by him at the King's command for the safe-keeping of the castle, and to make a fitting issue.
Nature of endorsement
A writ is to be sent to Roger de Waltham to account with John as is demanded by the petition, and to give him a bill in due form.

Note
CFR 1319-27 pp.400-401 is dated 21 July 1326. As there is no mention in this petition of 'the late king' or 'the king's father', it would seem most likely to date from 1326-1327. Roger de Waltham was Keeper of the Wardrobe between May 1322 and October 1323.
