Nature of request
Hugh Sampson states that he loaded a ship of Bayonne at Libourne with wines for Het Zwin in Flanders, and that, when the ship arrived there Peter Aymet and other men of Normandy wrongly claimed it as theirs and had it arrested. A lawsuit was begun between Hugh and Peter on this, and proceeded until the ship was judicially delivered to Hugh under the law merchant by judgment of the court; but the matter has now been brought back into dispute, and Hugh cannot have delivery of his ship. He requests a remedy.
