[This petition is badly faded.]The people of Blaye state that they the vicomte de Ouay is claiming that certain meadows and woods belonging to the town and castle of Blaye, where they have been accustomed to pasture their animals and take hay and fuel, are held of the crown of France, and that the dispute arising from this has led to great oppressions by the French and great expenses. They ask that they might have the same grace as other towns like Libourne and St Emilion: that is to increase and reduce the measures of wine in their town and castellany, and to have certain tolls which they list on certain goods and merchandise.
